Trash Vortex Effects.
The trash vortex affects the coral reefs. The trash vortex blocks the sunlight that is much needed for marine plants and disrupts the process of photosynthesis. It also kills more than a million marine animals each year. The trash vortex ruins breeding grounds for animals, reducing the number of marine animals of that species. Soon, many of the species that inhabit the ocean will become extinct and will damage the food chain. This will result in more extinctions of species in the ocean. Eventually, if we don't do anything about this huge problem, all of the ocean animals will become extinct and the ocean will die.
